Transformers: Age of Extinction

#THE GIST

After the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons that leveled Chicago, humanity thinks that all alien robots are a threat. So Harold Attinger, a CIA agent, establishes a unit whose sole purpose is to hunt down all of them. But it turns out that they are aided by another alien robot who is searching for Optimus Prime. Cade Yeager, a "robotics expert", buys an old truck and upon examining it, he thinks it's a Transformer. When he powers it up, he discovers it's Optimus Prime. Later, men from the unit show up looking for Optimus. He helps Yeager and his daughter Tessa escape but are pursued by the hunter. They escape and Yeager learns from technology he took from the men that a technology magnate and defense contractor named Joshua Joyce is part of what's going on, so they go to find out what's going on.

Age of Extinction is, just like its predecessors, an over-the-top combination of action, explosions movie with bad dialog and an equally bad and uninteresting story. Also not to forget is the bad performances by most of the actors. Throughout the while film, there were 2, maybe 3, good performances. I thank Mark and Stanley for their job at trying to make transformers interesting, but it’s still bad. It’s not all bad though. The soundtracks were great, like we have come to expect from the franchise. Though that is all I can think of. If you like brain dead movies, definitely watch Age of Extinction.

@Jari

In the 4th installment of the Transformers franchise, we just get the same things as you would expect from every other Transformers movie, or any Michael Bay movie in general really. A lot of explosions, product placement and American flags. Yet again, Michael Bay wants to focus more on the boring humans that we don’t care about instead of the Transformers. The film is made even worse by some of the worst dialog I've heard in recent memory and some awful performances by a lot of people. The only actors that seemed to care about their performance were Mark Wahlberg and Stanley Tucci. The Soundtrack and the Dinobots were the sole redeeming factors, though the Dinobots were only in the movie for like 30 minutes. If you liked the previous ones, you will like this one too. If you didn't, you can skip this like the plague.

@Conclusion

“Transformers: Age of Extinction” is another movie in the boring franchise that is Michael Bay’s “Transformers”. While this 4th installment is better than the 2 previous ones, Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon, that doesn’t change the fact that it is still an explosion packed porn movie from Bay’s personal collection. As you would expect, the story is not very intellectual nor is it substantiated and the dialog is just bad to say the least. In addition, the performances in general were absolutely awful. Only Mark Wahlberg and Stanley Tucci put up some good performances. However, not to forget is the music which is still great. We thank Jablonsky for these classics used throughout the franchise. Please avoid if you like serious dialog, great performances, an interesting story, etc ...
