After the Rebel base on the icy planet Hoth is taken over by the Empire, Han, Leia, Chewbacca, and C-3PO flee across the galaxy from the Empire. Luke travels to the forgotten planet of Dagobah to receive training from the Jedi master Yoda, while Vader endlessly pursues him.
"The Empire Strikes Back" is basically the perfect movie. It uses everything that was great about "A New Hope" and makes it even better. The story is even darker and it takes the series to heightened emotional levels. They also introduce some more fascinating characters such as Yoda. I don't think I have to say more. Just watch it.
In the follow up of the original Star Wars we continue our journey with Leia, Luke, Han and others on a quest to destroy the Empire, but we are also introduced to Yoda, who makes his first appearance in the franchise. The story is also great, which I don’t have to tell you, though not as a standalone one. You have to see it within its franchise, where the film is a great addition to the story for it starts unraveling a lot of the plot. I won’t say anymore, because you should already have seen these right? If not…
As you may already know, the original Star Wars trilogy is quite a masterpiece. “The Empire Strikes Back” presents us with a darker story and it introduces us to more amazing and defining characters such as Yoda, Boba Fett and more. However, it should not be seen as a single instance, instead you ought to see it as a part of a greater whole. As you would expect, the music is just as amazing as the previous one and equally recognizable. If you have not seen this second part of the Star Wars trilogy, you are severely missing out.
