A young Peruvian bear with a passion for all things British travels to London in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone at Paddington Station, he begins to realize that city life is not all he had imagined - until he meets the kind Brown family, who read the label around his neck ('Please look after this bear. Thank you.') and offer him a temporary haven. It looks as though his luck has changed until this rarest of bears catches the eye of a museum taxidermist.
When you think about a "Paddington", you might expect it to be for little children only or that it's just a quick cashgrab, when it's infact the complete opposite. We get to see a beloved character that deserves this movie. It's filled with charm and funny moments, while not being scared of showing emotional moments. But like you already knew, "Paddinton" is still mostly aimed at a younger audience and that always shows in the story and makes it very predictable at times. But with that being said, you'll still have a lot of enjoyment out of this movie, children and adults alike.
By heart “Paddington” is a kid’s movie which does not always translate well to the bigger audience. Luckily, “Paddington” is so cleverly charming I feel it will definitely be able to hit the right note with most of us. The film is so full of funny scenes, sometimes just a small detail, but put all these together and you will surely find yourself laughing every so often. Another good factor about “Paddington” is the plot, which is actually quite good. This is not always the case with these kid’s movies but I am glad to see the story is well worked out this time around. Altogether, “Paddington” is a great and enjoyable movie.
“Paddington” is a delightful movie which really knows how to make a statement about children’s films. It is one of few real kid’s movies which actually proves to hit the mark with the older audience as well. “Paddington” is not only charming and funny, it is also well-acted and quite emotional at times. The overall plot can be somewhat predictable, but it definitely stands out for a movie like this. We can even say it is quite interesting and the villain is quite alright. “Paddington” surely is a fun time for the whole family.
