Bring on the chimichangas! Deadpool was the first time that I was excited about an upcoming project in the X-Men universe. Surprisingly however, Deadpool wasn't just good, it exceeded my expectations by a long shot. It wasn't only a brutal action movie with some romantic moments thrown in there for good measure, it was also one of the funniest movies I saw in recent years. Truly a blast from start to finish with not a single boring or slow moment to be found. The thing I love the most about Deadpool though, is that they actually straight up ripped the character from the comic books and put it on the big screen, fourth-wall breaks included. Even Ryan Reynolds as our titular hero was perfectly cast. Definitely a must watch for everyone.

I’m a big Marvel fan. Have been for a while. So naturally, I was excited about Deadpool finally coming out and it had some major blunders to fix after the last time Deadpool made it to the screen. Luckily, Fox did it right this time by bringing us the real Deadpool and not some weird messed up version. The character was great and Ryan Reynolds did a great job portraying the oh-so-sarcastic Deadpool. Furthermore, the supporting cast was pretty good as well though I didn’t like all the characters involved (personal opinion). The story was pretty darn funny as well, Ryan probably helped that a little bit but still. Altogether, Deadpool was a really funny backstory for the Marvel fans out there and you ought to see it, it’s a blast.

Deadpool is the origin story of the infamous X-Men character. Do not, however, confuse this version of Deadpool with the abomination who carries the same name in the X-Men origins film. This time around Deadpool gets its own movie, as suggested by the title, and we get to see a basic revenge story that is ultimately all we really need out of this property. Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool is pretty much the perfect cast, just like Robert Downey Jr is perfect for Iron Man, as he really nails his on screen persona. Ryan isn’t the only one to steal the show however, as he is supported by a great cast. Though, the best thing about the movie might be the script. It really knows when to be funny and when it should not be. All in all, we would recommend Deadpool to everyone old enough to see it.
