In Belgium “10 cloverfield lane” had quite a small release and for the most part, went by under the radar. However, we really wanted to see this movie as we both liked “Cloverfield”, though it is important to note “10 cloverfield lane” is not really related to “Cloverfield” apart from some references to the old film. That aside, “10 cloverfield lane” was a great movie. The story was very exciting and had you asking questions all the time even after the film was over. The ending was similar to “Cloverfield” as you still don’t actually know what has happened or who is actually “good” or “bad”, it makes for an amazingly exciting story in my opinion. The acting was good as well, though for me John Goodman stood out from the rest. A minor remark might be the story is a little too cryptic and leaves too much questions, but that didn’t bother me in the end. Overall, I loved “10 cloverfield lane” and I really recommend you see it.

Being a big fan of the first Cloverfield, I didn't know if "10 Cloverfield Lane" could live up to my expectations. Luckily, it wasn't a direct sequel. Instead, we got a film set in the same universe as the original. A blood relative, as JJ Abrams called it. With that being said, I really enjoyed "10 Cloverfield Lane". The story was smart and intense the whole way through. I couldn't help but sit on the edge of my seat after the first 15 minutes. Some people might say the ending didn't fit the story but I am going to say the opposite and tell you its one of the best aspects of the movie. All the acting performances were superb, especially John Goodman, who was absolutely terrifying. The soundtrack of Bear McCreary is also top-notch and blends very well with the movie. If you are a fan of the original cloverfield or want a fun thrill ride, be sure to check out "10 Cloverfield Lane".

Dan Trachtenberg hits hard with his directorial debut "10 cloverfield lane" as most directors could only dream of doing such a fine job with their first movie. The story was intense, exciting and made you question every piece of dialogue to figure out who's telling the truth and who's not. Though, this might not be for everyone as it leaves you asking more and more questions, but for us it was something which made us actually empathize more with the story. The ending is once again something some of you might dislike as it's style resembles the "Cloverfield" ending. It is a very open ending, leaving you with even more questions. That aside, the acting performances were great with John Goodman giving us one of his best performances in recent years. Lastly, the soundtrack was exciting and made some of the scenes really stand out, which you will most definitely notice during the intro scene. Overall, we would strongly recommend "10 cloverfield lane" to anyone seeking a suspenseful movie from start to end.
